12:01 am - Where did the years go?
21 years ago on the 15th October I married my beloved hubby. We look at each other now and are amazed that so many years have passed. We are more besotted than ever, totally in love, absolutely thrilled at the prospect of more to come. I think I've finally stopped thinking I would lose him to that damn heart condition and believed he would be here in the morning, and in a month, a year, etc. Well... there's still a little niggle, but mainly I feel that we can talk about the future and still live every minute of every day.
He's my soulmate and I never thought I'd feel like that, let alone understand what it meant, now I'm living the truth of that statement. We 'connect'. Hoo bloody rah!

When things get difficult, I write. Simple as that. So I've started a new story and a new website. http://vallipink.webs.com/ If you want to read it, do. It's only just started but I hope to bring some interesting relationships into the mix. This is certainly going to be a challenge. Why didn't I choose a subject I know well, like beauty therapy? Simple... it's too close to home. Now on with the challenge... ie Katrina Wentworths life!

My Rosey is on her way. Goodness and I haven't even thought of a name yet! How remiss of me. She's bringing a little seedling with her. Hope they have a safe and quick journey. They'll probably be held hostage by the evil Customs people. But I will release them and pay the damned ransom. *shouts at the injustice of taxes!*
So... what shall I call them. Rosalyn and Speckle? Rosswere and Pip? Queen Rose and Sappling? Silliness abounds. She is indeed a queen. Queen of the Essene. Fictional characters that will be revealed in time. The tiny seedling the hope of their future. Will she be able to penetrate the Hoomahn subconscious and leave behind a desire to seek her out, discover her secrets and learn from her skills? Are there others of her realm? But of course! They are the elves of Taw Wood plus Jemmy faun and Sprout. Toys in the Hoomahn world, but in the imagination of the children who own them, they come 'alive' and direct them to a world of joy and earth and growth, magic and wonders, powers and abilities... don't you want to join that world? I do. Oh the fun of having a wild imagination, but the restraints of time... drat.
Come home soon Queen Rosswyn and the hope of your nation... the tiny seed of Essence. Flutter you way through the night, land upon sleeping brows of imaginations still volatile and unrestricted.... bring forth hope and joy and sprout new life within the Hoomahn world. I saw him in the marketplace... and no one wanted him... I watched morning and night and wondered why no one wanted him... I slept on it... working through the next day and still he remained unclaimed... so I bought him!
Meet Xavier.
Why aren't the Piki faces popular? Ante seems to be the most popular Little Fee out there. I really liked her, but something about her eyes ... they always look puffy. My original fave was Pipi, yet I sold my Puki Pipi. We didn't bond... then I regretted it after seeing her photos pop up on my screen saver... so... I hunted the marketplace once again and found a Little Fee Pipi sleeping face plate. It's been painted by the previous owner. I don't know if I will open the eyes and/or repaint. I will decide once I see it. I love that sleeping Puki Pipi and now I have a big one. Awww... these are the most adorable dolls.
Their posing is even better than a Puki.
Other things.... I am trying to get some traffic through my animal BJD group on Yahoo.
We have a competition to design an Icon to be used in our signatures on other sites. Out of 91 members there have been 2 responses. Oh well... it's early days.
So I thought with 91 members perhaps we could organise a swap... I put up the suggestion and no takers yet. I wonder if I have it in me to get this thing off the ground. *sigh* Once my faun and Kayu arrive from Charles Creature Cabinets, I shall post more photos and stories. I guess it would be good for me to have fun there even if few join in.
I started it because DOA [Den of Angels] made one of my animals off topc. The daft thing is, I've sold her since and the animals I do have are allowed. I do love seeing all the animals. My first love is still the tinies.

I missed out on buying a brilliant knitting book because I just couldn't make up my mind. Alan Dart's Irresistible knits. Cute little animals and over 50 patterns! Only £10.95 and now its going for £23 on evilbay! WTF is that about? GREED!!! I despise it. So I shan't be getting the book until all the hoo hah goes away. Perhaps after Christmas the frenzy will die down. Back to books from the library. Perhaps they have it there.

09:58 pm - A very sad day
A very dear dolly friend died today. He had been battling Leukemia for some months. He passed away in his sleep with his family around him. A relief from the pain and distress for him, but he leaves a very large hole in the hearts of so many. He reached me in a way no one has done before and was a very special person. I miss you Joe.

There's two in a tub! Rolo is looking perplexed as usual while Twinkle enjoys froggy and bubbles. I think she also enjoys having Rolo scrub her back. Sweet little tiny dolly children.

11:00 pm - Bookcase rooms
This is a work in progress. Not a wonderful photo, sorry.
Top room is for my Puki Piki Rolo who will soon have to share it with Puki Pipi Mwah! then they will both have to share their bodies between Fizz and Twinkle. Yes, I have a few faces for PUKI. Close ups have been shown already.
Second is Cherri and her family. She is Berri's non identical twin. She is on the left with her daughter Grace. In front of them is Tulah Kish. On the right is Raul with Grace's twin, Verity. Next to them is Riley Kish. The Kish kids are just visiting. Long story, but this family have a story of their own to tell in Berri's saga. I was going with a cream and purple theme, but it doesn't seem right. I think some of these rooms will be used as sets and therefore change as required. I may get bold and paint one of my settees. I think the screen at the back will be my inspiration.
Third are The Fat Fairy beauties. Coco (on the bed) and BonBon by Tinybear. 1/12th scale. This is the least finished room. Not even the flooring is right yet. Theme, pink and green. As if you didn't guess! LOL.
Last but not least, is Saffron's room. Theme, leopard print. She is Berri's doctor and friend. With her in the long blonde hair is her love interest, Sven Evans. Not yet introduced. I have to cut his hair and re do his face up. I'm not happy with it yet. I have the most gorgeous wallpaper for Saffy's room.
This is an overview of what it really looks like. There is another shelf above and below these. The bottom one holds books and patterns and stops the whole thing falling over. The top one has my 14" Betsy and Barbara McCall dolls. I can't reach to take photos of those, so they are just for display. Grace and Verity's bed is up there too.
Now if only I could find a piece of wood to fit a bracket I found in the shed, then I could get another doll house up!!!
